You, your friends and family are all invited to join the MIT Sloan Boston Alumni Association for a day of stewardship on one of Boston Harbor's spectacular islands.
We will work to help preserve and maintain this unique natural resource. Tasks include everything from clearing brush to picking up trash along the shoreline.
When: 9:00am - 3:00pm. Please plan to arrive 15-20 minutes prior to departure to allow time for boarding.
Where: The Rowes Wharf Water Transport vessel will pick us up at Courthouse Dock at Fan Pier - 2 Northern Ave., Boston at 9:00 am and will return by 3:00pm. The Courthouse Dock is next to the Moakley US Courthouse, near the Old Northern Avenue bridge off of Atlantic Avenue. http://www.bostonharborislands.org/#!directions-fees/c18fo
Food:A Caterer will provide box lunches, as well as coffee, tea and pastries dock side to get us started.
Clothing: We recommend long-sleeve clothes and closed-toe shoes, and dress for changeable weather. Bring a hat, sunscreen and a water bottle. Tools, gloves, lunch and extra water will be provided, but it is important to stay hydrated.
Note: The trip runs rain or shine, but may be cancelled if weather is severe.
