Empowering Women in STEMM to Lead Themselves.
Join us as we welcome Angeliki Rigos. She will tell us about her journey from industry to
academia to founding the nonprofit Epistimi in order to provide leadership
training to women in STEMM globally.
What happens when women get leadership training and begin
leading themselves, rather than following the traditional path they were
groomed for? Angeliki Rigos tells the story of her evolution from Principal
Scientist in a company to Chemistry Professor to Executive Director of a Global
Center at MIT to founding leadership programs for women in STEMM. She will talk about the tipping points in her career that shifted her trajectory and the
crucible moments that changed her forever.
Angeliki Rigos is a scientist, educator, and
consultant interested in working across disciplines to promote sustainable
solutions to global problems. She began her career as a Principal
Scientist at Physical Sciences Inc. She transitioned to Assistant, then
