Community Service Project: Boston Harbor Island Stewardship Day

On Saturday, July 30 we will be on Lovells Island working to eradicate invasive species and help restore the island's natural flora and fauna. Your friends and family are invited to join in! THIS EVENT IS SOLD OUT

Description:  THIS EVENT IS SOLD OUT - THANK YOU FOR YOUR INTEREST AND SUPPORT.

Please join the MIT Sloan Alumni Club of Boston for a day of community stewardship on the Boston Harbor Islands!  On Saturday, July 30, 2011 from 9:00 AM to 2:30 PM we will be on Lovells  Island to help prepare for the summer season.

The Rowes Wharf Water Transport vessel Beachcat will pick us up at Courthouse Dock at Fan Pier - 2 Northern Ave., Boston at 9:00 a.m. and will return at 2:30 p.m.  Please plan to arrive 15-20 minutes prior to departure to allow time for boarding. Jasper White’s Summer Shack box lunches will be provided, and there will also be coffee/tea and pastries dock side to get us started. We recommend: Long sleeve clothes and closed-toe shoes, and dress for changeable weather. Bring a hat, sunscreen and a water bottle.  Tools, gloves, lunch and extra water will be provided, but it is important to stay hydrated.

Price:  Free, registration required as there is a limit of 25.  Please note there is now a waiting list.  We will notify you approximately one week in advance if seats open up on the boat.
