Big Data "Unconference"

Join us for pizza and open discussion around Big Data topics. In this session the Alumni Association will be introducing a new concept to our events, an unconference, a number of audience/participant driven parallel roundtable discussions.

Description:    We will set up in a large conference room with multiple tables and have a few pre-defined round tables that will have table leaders, and will define other topic tables from your email submissions and at the event itself dynamically. Participants will rotate around the tables and participate in lively discussions on a variety of Big Data topics

Here’s a teaser on three Big Data topics we could discuss:

1) Healthcare
2) Retail:consumer goods analytics, marketing analytics and gauging customer sentiment
3) Security and Trust: who owns your data, how to protect your data and what are digital rights.

Before the event please email (jesse3a@mit.edu) a topic or topics you recommend should be discussed. Time permitting we will find an anchor (or specialist) in the topic to attend the unconference.

Bring your challenges, questions, success stories, etc. to make each roundtable a lively and insightful discussion.
