Board Prospects and Possibilities (Career Series #38)
Corporate boards need you - are you ready? As board recruitment moves from career directors to industry-specific expertise, learn how to best position yourself for board recruitment opportunities.

Description:  There is a seismic shift developing in for-profit boardroom service where companies are moving away from recruiting career directors and toward engaging industry-specific experts. This shift represents a tremendous opportunity for individuals seeking a corporate directorship.

Important too, in 2013 public company board members saw on average a 4 - 6% growth in total pay. Even in the "micro market" (companies with annual revenues between $50M - $500M) board members received on average more than $100,000 in direct compensation. This trend of increased director compensation is predicted to continue as is the shift to directors with industry expertise.

In this event presented by BoardProspects, speakers Patricia Lenkov and Mark Rogers will discuss trends in boardroom service and what individuals can do to best position themselves for recruitment opportunities.
