BIEN: Entrepreneur Leadership Support & Mentorship Group
The Association is launching a leadership, support & mentorship group for a small number of MIT and Sloan alumni who are founders or CEOs on their entrepreneurial journey. This is a pilot program.
We want to
help you progress to your vision, build your support system and grow as a
leader. Entrepreneurs, by nature of the role, constantly have to present
the best face of their young company and are often alone in that process. This
group, moderated by Melissa Webster, MBA '09, an expert facilitator will provide a
confidential setting to get real with fellow entrepreneurs in the
trenches and learn from each other.
This group
would meet six (6) times over three months, twice a month for two hours on a
weekday evening, starting early March 2016. The Boston Alumni Association will fund
the majority of the cost for MIT or Sloan alumni, and alumni participants will be responsible for
a nominal portion of $100.
Melissa Webster has nearly two decades of experience in management
and marketing. Her obsession is making connections that facilitate doing what
matters most. In her consulting practice, she delivers frameworks and
strategies to help individuals and teams tie their actions to passion and
purpose. Melissa also creates affinity groups for entrepreneurs and other
leaders to grow relationships and increase impact and, in 2015, founded
Vulnerability Lab to offer programs supporting professional and personal
courage. Melissa holds an MBA from MIT Sloan School, where she focused on
entrepreneurship and innovation in the energy sector, and a BA in Architecture
from Wellesley College.
