"Navigating the Room with Kim Littlefield (CS #67)

Do you get uneasy walking into a room full of strangers whether it is a business function or social gathering? If so, you are not alone.

Developing a solid network is a skill that is critical to career success whether you are happily employed, exploring your next opportunity, trying to stay current in your field or just looking to build your business.  However, it's the one that causes even the most experienced professionals to struggle.

Please join us at this interactive event led by Kim Littlefield, Senior Vice President of Keystone Partners. Ms. Littlefield is a dynamic speaker who has been teaching professionals how to strategically network for over 15 years.

During this session you will have the opportunity to: 

 Learn the role attitude plays in networking

  • Discover ways to prepare for networking event
  • Practice techniques to strike up conversations 
  • Learn tips on how to remember names and break in and out of conversations

Presenter's Biography:

Kim Littlefield consults with organizations and senior executives on complex career transition and workforce planning issues. Kim has over 15 years of experience in training and business development. Prior to joining Keystone, she was a senior trainer with Dale Carnegie Training. As a certified Dale Carnegie instructor, Kim has taught courses on human relations, communication, leadership, sales, public speaking and presentation skills to thousands of people from students to executives.

Venue: MIT Sloan, Building E62, Room 262, 100 Main Street, Cambridge

On-Campus Free Parking:  Due to the never-ending construction, Sloan's Hermann Garage is only accessable via Main Street. It is a small garage without a gate, and directly under the Sloan library. Another option is the Amherst Street/E51 lot. These parking lots are free after 5pm. The closest public parking is Kendall Center Green Garage, next to the Marriott Hotel.
