She will address “The Outsized Role of Leadership in Building Diverse, Equitable and Inclusive Workplaces”.

  • Recent social movements have shined a spotlight on the suppression of women and persons of color in society and in our businesses and workplaces with much commentary on the role of leadership
  • Why existing laws, policies and practices of the last 50 years have not solved the problem of discriminatory workplaces

  • How to build an equitable and inclusive workplace

Jody Newman is an employment lawyer and litigator primarily representing individuals, as well as advising management. Her practice includes conducting independent workplace investigations, mediating workplace investigations, mediating employment disputes and anti-bias trainings. She is currently Of Counsel at Boston Law Collaborative in Boston. Jody’s deep experience resolving employment disputes is unique in that she spent her career representing individuals in a boutique litigation firm. Her experience includes representing individuals in all industries from the trades to the C-Suite.  Beyond client advocacy, Jody developed an employment-focused neutral practice as an independent investigator to get to the truth of workplace discrimination and other misconduct claims.
