Managing Up: Back to the Classroom with Jonathan Lehrich (Career Event #18)

Time and again, talented employees crash and burn because they don't work effectively with their managers. Even those who accept the need to manage their boss are stymied by mismatched styles, misperceived needs and misconstrued relationships.

Description:   Rather than fall victim to the same traps, take this dynamic, research and tools-based workshop, specially adapted from the Sloan Innovation Period program. We’ll explore the dangers, discuss recommendations, and use interactive role-plays to practice techniques that will help you vault ahead.

As Director of the MIT Executive MBA program, Jonathan Lehrich leads all aspects of the program and works closely with faculty, staff, students, and external companies and organizations to deliver this world-class, mid-career, executive format MBA. In addition to launching the program, Jonathan has directed key action learning and international initiatives at MIT Sloan, including Global Entrepreneurship Lab (G-Lab), the China Lab and India Lab programs, and the MIT Sloan-Portugal Lisbon MBA collaboration. In these and other programs he teaches MBAs entrepreneurship, management, and project team and consulting skills.

A Class of 2005 MBA graduate from MIT Sloan, Jonathan also holds degrees from Harvard and the University of Chicago.
