On Saturday, September 21 we will be on one of Boston Harbor's Islands working on a variety of tasks to help maintain the island. Your friends and family are invited to join in!
Description: Please join the MIT Sloan Boston Alumni Association for a day of community stewardship on the Boston Harbor Islands! On Saturday, September 21 from 9:00 AM to 2:30 PM we will travel by boat to one of the islands to work on a variety of tasks -- everything from clearing brush to pick up trash along the shoreline.
A Rowes Wharf Water Transport vessel will pick us up at Courthouse Dock at Fan Pier - 2 Northern Ave., Boston at 9:00 a.m. and will return at 2:30 p.m. Please plan to arrive 15-20 minutes prior to departure to allow time for boarding. Jasper White’s Summer Shack box lunches will be provided, and there will also be coffee/tea and pastries dock side to get us started.
We recommend: Long sleeve clothes and closed-toe shoes, and dress for changeable weather. Bring a hat, sunscreen and a water bottle. Tools, gloves, lunch and extra water will be provided, but it is important to stay hydrated.
