Community Service Project: Boston Harbor Island Stewardship Day

*** SOLD OUT *** On Saturday, September 27 we will be on one of Boston Harbor's Islands working on a variety of tasks to help maintain the island. Your friends and family are invited to join in!

Description:  Please join the MIT Sloan Boston Alumni Association for a day of community stewardship on the Boston Harbor Islands!  On Saturday, September 27 from 9:00 AM to 2:30 PM we will travel by boat to one of the islands to work on a variety of tasks -- everything from clearing brush to pick up trash along the shoreline.

A Rowes Wharf Water Transport vessel will pick us up at Courthouse Dock at Fan Pier - 2 Northern Ave., Boston at 9:00 a.m. and will return at 2:30 p.m.  Please plan to arrive 15-20 minutes prior to departure to allow time for boarding. Rita's Catering box lunches will be provided, and there will also be coffee/tea and pastries dock side to get us started.

We recommend: Long-sleeve clothes and closed-toe shoes, and dress for changeable weather. Bring a hat, sunscreen and a water bottle.  Tools, gloves, lunch and extra water will be provided, but it is important to stay hydrated.

The trip runs rain or shine, but may be cancelled if weather is severe.
