Today there is much discussion about the role of Board Directors in both the
corporate and non-profit world. Their unique responsibilities are important to
the effective governance of any organization. Because Board membership can come
with attractive compensation and other perks, many people entertain the
ambition to become a member of a Board. However, the selection of an individual
to become a Director is a highly competitive process. Most professionals,
despite considerable success in their careers, may not make the cut. In this
seminar, Colin will also cover the realities and trends of the Board
marketplace, what are the search strategies that are most effective in
discovering opportunities and what are the different kinds of Boards to
consider.
