As one of the most prestigious universities producing alumnae in engineering and science in the world, MIT is in a unique position to be a leader in the discussions around the many challenges still facing women in industry, academia, and government today.
The purpose of the
MIT Women's unConference, scheduled for March 9-10, 2018, is to connect alumnae
to the Institute and to one another, to celebrate their leadership, careers,
talents, and interests, and to "complete the equation" for some of
the toughest challenges facing women in the world today.
Why
an "unConference"? Because
we don't simply expect attendance. Rather, MIT alumnae themselves will shape
the conference's direction, priorities, and impact. Also, the conference will
gather a worldwide audience of women participating remotely as well as on campus.
This will include opportunities for prospective MIT students and women students
on the MITx platform from around the world. Wherever you are in the world, you can
participate.
