A Fireside Chat with Sherwin Greenblatt (BIEN Event)

President Emeritus of Bose Corp, Director of MIT Venture Mentoring Service

Grab seasonal snacks, and join a fireside chat with a leader of the MIT community. Sherwin Greenblatt served as President of Bose Corporation for 15 years and served as Director of The Charles Stark Draper Laboratory Inc. Today, he mentors MIT entrepreneurs as the Director of MIT Venture Mentoring Service (VMS). Mr. Greenblatt will open up about the lessons learned throughout his career, growing Bose from 1 employee to 8000+, and answer any questions you may have.

Sherwin Greenblatt volunteers his time as Director of the MIT Venture Mentoring Service. From 2005 to 2007, Greenblatt served as the Executive vice president and treasurer of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) and from 2008-2009 he was the Interim CEO of the MIT Alumni Association. Greenblatt, retired from Bose Corporation, was its first employee and for 15 years served as its President. He is currently a member of its Board of Directors. He has been Vice-Chairman of the Board of Trustees at the Olin College of Engineering, a member of the Corporation of the Draper Laboratories, Director of the Federal Reserve Bank of Boston and regularly advises start-up companies. Mr. Greenblatt holds B.S. and M.S. degrees in Electrical Engineering from MIT.

On-Campus Free Parking:  Due to the never-ending construction, Sloan's Hermann Garage is only accessable via Main Street. It is a small garage without a gate, and directly under the Sloan library. Another option is the Amherst Street/E51 lot. These parking lots are free after 5pm. The closest public parking is Kendall Center Green Garage, next to the Marriott Hotel.
