Wine and Cheese Pairing Event (Resilience Series #6)

Join us for an interactive wine and cheese pairing presented by Dave Stare, SB 1962, Owner, Dry Creek Vineyard and Peter Endicott, SM 1989, Owner, The Cheese Shop in Salem, MA.

Friday, August 27, 2021

6:30 p.m - 8:00 p.m.

(A Virtual Event)

In this event, our wine and cheese experts will pair wine from Sonoma County, CA and cheeses from New England. We will learn about Sonoma County's distinctive terroir and intrinsic characteristics while tasting exemplars from Dry Creek Vineyard, a winery founded by MIT alumnus Dave Stare, SB 1962 and now run by his daughter, Kim Stare Wallace. Dave and Kim together have nearly five decades of history in the wine business, from many pioneering “firsts” from 1972 to the present day where the second generation has taken the helm and brought the winery to new heights.

Peter Endicott, SM 1989, owner of The Cheese Shop of Salem, and his daughter Kiri Endicott have choosen New England cheeses as a counterpoint to Dry Creek's Northern California location. They will discuss how cheeses are made, taste the different styles, and hear the incredible stories behind each one. Walk away with tips on how to serve cheese, and which wines to pair them with!

Please see below for information about purchasing a Wine Pack from Dry Creek Vineyards and a Cheese Kit from The Salem Cheese Shop.
